Palácio Cadaval
Located in front of the Roman Temple, the Palace of the Dukes of Cadaval is a unique example of Portuguese architectural heritage, resulting from the fusion of Mudéjar, Gothic and Manueline styles. The building includes a vast residential area, two interior gardens and a church that serves as the family's pantheon. This church is a national reference for its grand interiors, adorned with tile panels from the beginning of the 18th century.
Currently, the Palace continues to be the residence of the Dukes of Cadaval, but the church and part of the rooms are open to the public throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy a collection of historical and contemporary pieces from the family, including books, charters, armory, paintings, sculpture, furniture, porcelain and portraits, in addition to hosting several international cultural and artistic exhibitions.
